On Saturday 18th September, Hutchison Port Botany reported cancelled slots since 0600 due to an ‘unforeseen event’ with the terminal being closed throughout the afternoon/evening resuming at 2200.
Following this notification, Hutchison Port Botany have again advised cancelled slots today (Monday 20 September 2021) ‘until further notice’.
Terminal management have again stated the reason for the action as an ‘unforeseen event’ with preliminary advice indicating 0600 to 1500 will be immediately affected.
The Terminal have released the following update:
Over the weekend there was a positive COVID case on Saturday at HPS. Operations will be impacted this week with some shifts affected by employees away in isolation or awaiting test results.
We are working to restore full capability as quickly as possible but some landside operations will be limited during the week.
We will keep you informed over the coming days and provide updates when they become available.
As a result we have suspended Slot releases.
This will be lodged as a Unforeseen Event with TNSW
Storage has been extended for all units in the Terminal
